Broadchurch was part of the hotly contested Best of British:
TV Programme or Series category, up against Miranda and Call The Midwife (BBC
One), Richard II: The Hollow Crown (BBC Two), Scott And Bailey (ITV) and
Richard II: The King In The Car Park (Channel 4)
Also, BBC Two’s spoof documentary Twenty Twelve, which David
narrated, beat Miranda and Mrs. Brown’s Boys (BBC One), Plebs (ITV2) and Fresh
Meat (Channel 4) in the Best TV Sitcom category. Twenty Twelve stars Hugh Bonneville, Olivia Colman and Jessica Hynes and follows the exploits of the fictional Olympic Deliverance Committee in the run up to the 2012 London Games.
Sadly, CBeebies animation Tree Fu Tom, voiced by David along with
Sophie Aldred, missed out on the prize for Best Children's TV Programme or
Series. The category winner was CBBC’s The Dumping Ground
