Freesat 2013 Awards Announced Today: David Tennant Projects Nominated In Three Categories


Today sees the fifth annual Freesat Awards ceremony, held in Central London with a VIP audience of celebrities, media and broadcasters and hosted by comedian and actress Sally Phillips.
The awards showcase and celebrate the TV that Britain loves.

Three shows involving David Tennant have been nominated this year:

Best of British: TV Programme or Series

Miranda (BBC One)
Call The Midwife (BBC One)
Richard II: The Hollow Crown (BBC Two)
Broadchurch (ITV)
Scott and Bailey (ITV)
Richard III: The King In The Car Park (Channel 4)

Broadchurch starred David Tennant and Olivia Colman as the ill-matched police detectives trying to solve the murder of a child in a small seaside town.

In Tree Fu Tom David Tennant provides the voice of Twigs, a mischievous acorn sprite who saves the magical kingom of Treetopolis from danger in the company of his best friend Tom (Sophie Aldred).
